WHITEPAPER: CryptoBlades Kingdoms WP

CryptoBlades Kingdoms (CBK) is the second installation in the CryptoBlades franchise. CBK is a strategy-based land building MMORPG with Play-to-Earn (P2E) mechanics and fully compatible cooperative combat and guild creations.

CHAIN /TOKEN TYPE: Binance Smart Chain/BEP-20

LAUNCH: CBK game will be launched sometime in 2022 — TBA.

EXISTING CUSTOMERS AND USERS: CBK is not yet developed. But CryptoBlades had a lot of interest soon after the launch in May. In July 2021, CryptoBlades enjoyed a 380% increase in their platform users, with $580,000 traded during in-game transactions. CryptoBlades, a Binance Smart Chain combat game, was ranked #1 in the BSC Portfolio Tracker list at that time.
At the time of writing, CryptoBlades has 3,2k daily users and a $1,3k volume based on the data found on DappRadar.

When considering which similar blockchain-based games are currently being developed, we should explain the gameplay of CryptoBlades Kingdoms. CBK is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) strategy game with in-game Play-to-Earn (P2E) mechanics. Its four warring nations’ realms are metaverse divided into 25M claimable land slots. Players will start off small from one of those land slots, including a small Tier 1 village. All villages will have three primary resources: stone, clay, and wood. These resources are used to upgrade and construct new buildings, recruit troops, and exploit the land's resources. Once the players are ready, and their village is efficient, they can expand their kingdom, explore the lands or battle. There will be dungeons to explore and daily quests to join and earn the rewards. Players can play the game independently or form/join the guild. CBK in-game assets and land will be NFTs owned and freely traded by the players. The world is split into 4 Nations — Solarwood, Duskeron, Edisau and Sevrend, of which you will pick one as your home nation during character creation.

*Ember Sword — a Free-to-Play Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game (MMORPG), powered by Immutable X, taking place in a player-driven dystopian fantasy universe Thanabus with a classless and fast-paced combat system. You will be able to create a character, pick a home nation, and venture into the mysterious world with your weapon of choice to prove your worth in the action-packed classless combat system by defeating monsters, bosses, and other players, or explore the world as a peaceful forager of goods and rares, making a name for yourself as a talented refiner and craftsman. The total land supply of Thanabus is 160,000 NFT land plots.

*League of Kingdoms — an Ethereum based MMO Strategy game where gamers fight for dominion. The game is centred around building kingdoms on lands that players own. The ultimate goal is to develop a strong kingdom, build alliances, and progress in building levels and research to raise an army for combat against your enemies. Every player starts off with the main castle in a primitive kingdom that needs to be developed and upgraded. Players have to fortify their main castle to protect against external threats and strategically utilise different buildings like barracks, markets, and research to progress. League of Kingdoms allows players to participate in battles against real players or monsters to gather rewards and loot. Players can attack each other’s cities and plunder each other’s resources. Players can join forces with their friends through Alliances to fight against others. Alliances are not only beneficial for attacks, but they are equally advantageous when your kingdom is under attack. There are 65,536 NFT land slots in the LoK metaverse.

*Rise Online — a free-to-play adventure MMORPG game built by RokoSoft. It is one of the very few games built on the Avalanche blockchain.

*World Eternal Online — sandbox MMO, developed by Core Loop, with a player-driven economy and blockchain integration. In WEO, you adventure across a vast world with thousands of other players, looting monsters, gathering resources and crafting items. Players are invited to slay huge raid bosses and conquer territory in this dynamic, ever-changing world. You can join a guild, take down massive raid bosses, capture a PvP fortress and more. WEO will have a central town that can craft essential items to get players started. However, scattered throughout the world will be several towns owned by players inhabited by player blacksmiths, alchemists, pet breeders etc. All players have a chance to earn no matter what role they take, either playing solo or within a guild.

*Mirandus — an epic fantasy RPG developed by Gala Games, is set in a massive world ruled by five player-monarchs. In-game, players have absolute freedom of choice: they can set out into the wilderness alone to try their fortunes against the monsters of the deep woods and dungeons, join with one of the monarchs to serve as a knight in their court, or set up shop in one of the five great cities of the realm. Player ownership of in-game assets is a central mechanic, with players holding land deeds that allow them to claim parts of the wilderness and set up holdfasts ranging from small farms to massive cities. In Mirandus, you decide who you will be and choose your quest in the epic fight against evil. Player ownership of in-game assets is a central mechanic in Mirandus. Players can hold land deeds that allow them to claim parts of the wilderness, setting up holdfasts ranging from small farms to massive cities. There will only ever be 1625 deeds in Mirandus.

*The Six Dragons — a fantasy open-world RPG. The game features a 256 km2-long vibrant world with limitless adventures, epic fights, and the freedom to do anything you want. Players can explore endless lands, farm for valuable materials, craft more than 300 unique items, trade items with other players and improve their arsenal using powerful enchants. The Six Dragons are the first Enjin powered game to share fees earned with their Governors and allow no fees because of the Jumpnet.

*Taurion — Taurion is a fully decentralised MMORTS / MMORPG game. It runs without servers using Xaya’s blockchain gaming technology. It has a fully player-driven economy where players can: Mine, refine, research, build, upgrade, craft, strategise, ally, kill, steal, drive vehicles, explore, plan, earn, trade, transport, and more. Compete for resources, forge alliances and dominate in this alternate reality.

*Open Era — OpenEra is an MMORPG built on the Solana blockchain-powered by Serum. It is inspired by classics like RuneScape and modern MMOs like Albion Online. OpenEra is about uncovering your destiny and taking part in an evolving timeline — travelling through space and time together as an ever-expanding community.

The driving force behind OpenEra is to develop a virtual space where you can live, create and explore. In this world, you’ll not only craft unique items with special properties from complex biomes, but most importantly, you’ll be able to craft your own story. You’ll be not only able to forge new weapons from verifiably scarce ore but also forge new friendships and relationships — bounded by trust, reputation, or perhaps by mutually enforceable agreements.

*Eizper Chain — Eizper Chain is a blockchain action-adventure MMORPG produced and published by Eizper, powered by Sangnila and Solana blockchain. It is the first game in the Eizper gaming franchise.
Eizper Chain’s gameplay contains synergy between adventure and arena battles. In the adventures, players roam the fast world of Eizper guided by an enticing epic story full of twists and turns. While in arena battles, players may compete against each other in battle events in the hope of getting handsome rewards and recognition.

CBK reminds us of the traditional MMORPG and MMORTS games like Travian or Tribal Wars, which are amongst the top games in this genre. There is a massive opportunity for games like CBK to attract some of the traditional player bases apart from crypto savvy gamers familiar with the decentralised aspect of gaming, P2E mechanics and in-game items ownership in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and non-transferable tokens (NTTs).

CBK is developed by a US-based Riveted Games studio. Philip Devine, a CEO and creator of CryptoBlades franchise, has founded and operated Riveted Games since 2014, releasing multiple award-winning titles (Lightspeed Frontier, Nations at War: Digital, Spoxel, etc.) on Steam as well as independently. He is also a developer at heart and has carefully built his team based on their experience in-game and blockchain development.

Other core team members of Riveted Games are Nick Newcomer (COO), David Diebels (CFO) and Aaron Hutton (CMO).

CBK had an initial land sale in October where participants could buy different land slots in multiple tiers. The world of CryptoBlades: Kingdoms is a 5000x5000 area, with 25 million claimable lands. This large area is further subdivided into 50x50 territories. Each 50x50 territory has exactly one tier 3 land. A total of 135,000 lands were available of the total 25,000,000 on the map. This means that only 0.54% of the lands were offered initially. The overall raising goal was $23,8M, with $7,16M coming from the private sale, $12,4M from the public sale, and $4,3M from the sale to SKILL token holders. Land could be purchased with either $SKILL (the CryptoBlades currency) or $KING (the Kingdoms currency) from the CryptoBlades marketplace.

Fangible and Babylon have already opened their Marketplace up for CryptoBlades Kingdoms Lands NFTs to be sold, bought, and traded!

It would be fair to say that the growth of the blockchain gaming niche has been phenomenal! With that growth, we have seen a few notable projects and teams realise a concept into reality; a tangible product that can be interacted with, enjoyed, and, I am happy to say, earn a living from.

However, we have seen game projects pop up daily with explosive growth. Game concepts are easy to pitch, but the team has the experience, understanding, and focus on realising a project to completion.

In my personal opinion, there are currently only a handful of teams that have these very important traits, and I am delighted to say that the team behind CryptoBlades and CryptoBlades Kingdoms possess them.

The team behind CryptoBlades (CB) and CryptoBlades Kingdoms (CBK) has provenance in both the blockchain gaming space and traditional gaming space, and with this comes a wealth of experience. They have already produced a very successful game in CryptoBlades, and before that, they published games on the PC games marketplace; Steam.

Teams previous experience with games below:

Lightspeed Frontier
All reviews: mostly positive

All reviews: mixed

CryptoBlades mainnet launched on May 31st 2021, and within 1-month, it had become the most active blockchain game on Binance Smart Chain. Within that month, CB had 4k unique players, who earned $580K, crafted 100K+ NFTs and fought 1million+ battles!

At the beginning of July 2021, CB was named a top 20 MVB (Most Valuable Builder) by Binance!

Also, in the same month, the CB NFT marketplace had the most users of any marketplace in the whole world!

As of July 21st 2021, CB topped PancakeSwap as the most active blockchain dApp in the world. At its peak, it was paying out over $3 million per day to its players!

The meteoric rise of CryptoBlades was unparalleled in the Summer of 2021. From the beginning of July, the price of the CBs SKILL token exploded from $0.69 to an all-time high of circa $184!

CB was one of the first examples of blockchain games that players could make a living playing. I genuinely believe that CB had a hand in turning the games industry from a walled garden into a play to earn the revolution we see today.

However, due to the weight of its popularity and the ability to make a living from playing a game, a significant issue arose. The sheer number of players the game had were draining the SKILL treasury before it had a chance to refill. This quickly turned into a negative event causing the community to revolt and promptly call the project a scam. After a thorough review of the contract address, it was apparent that there was indeed SKILL available to withdraw. The issue was that the players were trying to withdraw when the SKILL reward pool was very low or empty. As a resolution to this significant issue, the CB team had the generosity to contribute $130,000 (10,000 SKILL) to the reward pool to mitigate the issues swiftly. Their generosity was very much welcomed by the community and immediately instilled faith in the project. Since then, amendments to the SKILL rewards system have been tweaked to allow for the long term sustainability of the game.

CryptoBlades Kingdoms

CryptoBlades Kingdoms is a natural progression from their original game CryptoBlades. It is fully 3D and will feature play to earn mechanics/mechanisms. It will allow the players to PVE and PVP to earn whilst enjoying the game. One of the most prominent features of CBK is land. There are 3 tiers of land that will allow the player to collect/generate resources. The higher the tier of land, the more resources can be gathered. You will need resources to forge alliances, battle and conquer other players. Owned land parcels cannot be conquered, but the land in between can. You can assemble an army and dominate the land.

A notable feature the team will implement is allowing SKILL and KING to be used within CBK. This will enable players of the original game to partake in the new one. Another feature is the characters, and other assets can also be used in CBK, so there is a unique synergy between the two. I feel this is important because it allows for the two games to coexist simultaneously. Riveted are not leaving anyone out, and they have been very diligent about this.

Riveted Games is also developing Omnus. Omnus is a toolset/platform which will connect players, digital assets and communities in a democratised digital way. The bigger picture is that Omnus will allow existing blockchain games to connect with other blockchain games easily. In the video above, you can see this in practice, which is accessed via a central hub. In this case, the democratised Omnus is controlled by CBK landowners and KING token holders.

It has been three months now since the launch of the KING token. The price has dwindled quite a way now, but the development team have been working hard to hit the milestones on the roadmap. The private sale tokens will be released shortly, and there may be a significant drop in the price of the KING token. However, the team has exciting plans to stabilise this drop, including staking rewards in the form of NFTs and KING tokens.

As already mentioned, KING and SKILL token owners can already stake their tokens on the CB platform. It is exciting to hear that NFT land staking will be available soon, and more details about what benefits this feature will have will be announced shortly and the use case in the OMNUS metaverse.

As Riveted Games hit significant milestones on the roadmap, the price of the KING token will rebound in anticipation of the game. Let’s not forget the impact of players' rush in CB and what this did for early participants. Moving forward into the game main-net, we will see a fully realised vision of CBK. This will include: PVE, PVP, play to earn and conquest. It will be a very exciting time for the project, its participants, and its investors.
